Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Fab Shop General Laborer to join our manufacturing team. This position supports daily shop operations by preparing, finishing, and handling materials. The ideal candidate is willing to learn, works well in a team environment, and is interested in developing new skills, including welding.
General Purpose of This Position
The General Shop Laborer assists with material preparation and finishing processes to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST
Key Responsibilities
Sandblast materials to required specifications
Polish materials to achieve proper surface finish
Deburr materials using hand tools and equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Receive on-the-job training in welding and related fabrication processes
Assist other shop personnel as needed
Qualifications
Previous manufacturing or shop experience preferred but not required
Ability to use hand tools and basic shop equipment
Willingness to learn new skills, including welding
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
