Are you a skilled Eyelet Journeyman Toolmaker who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and keeping production running at its best?
At Trans-Matic, you’ll play a critical hands-on role in developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving tooling and production press equipment. You’ll work alongside other experienced tool and die makers and cross-functional teams to maximize press efficiency, protect part quality, and continuously improve our processes.
Troubleshoot production presses to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Set up jobs and production tooling to meet established quality and performance standards.
Develop, maintain, and improve tooling and production press equipment.
Maintain tool books, process documentation, and required paperwork.
Monitor and improve part quality through hands-on problem solving.
Identify tooling and equipment issues and communicate them effectively to the appropriate work team or team leader.
Assist with machine preventive maintenance and identify maintenance concerns before they become production problems.
Maintain tooling and equipment in accordance with Trans-Matic standards.
Support the development of new tooling and prototypes as needed.
Work aggressively toward reducing setup times and improving overall press efficiency.
Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and good housekeeping.
Collaborate with other departments and tool and die makers to solve problems and achieve production goals.
Be a dependable, engaged team member who contributes ideas and expertise.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Fluent English communication skills.
Journeyman’s card as an Eyelet Tool & Die Maker, or equivalent experience.
Experience in a metal-forming manufacturing environment.
Education and hands-on experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical problem solving.
Strong mechanical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Knowledge of GD&T symbols.
Ability to operate a hi-lo/forklift.
