Extrusion Winder Operators – Eastlake
We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Winder to operate and maintain winding machines used in the manufacturing of composite pressurized vessels for water filtration applications.
Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare winding machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
- Load and unload liners onto winding machines and secure them properly.
- Monitor automated winding processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
- Apply composite fiberglass fibers and resins according to specified winding patterns and layering requirements.
- Inspect finished vessels for defects and ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on winding machines and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance personnel when necessary.
- Perform daily cleaning of all winding tooling.
- Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and time required for each manufacturing run.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience as a Winder or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Familiarity with operating, setting up, adjusting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production targets and deadlines.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
