Our leading and expanding manufacturing company, serving industries such as auto, defense, medical, and industrial, is seeking an Extrusion Superintendent¨NBSP;to join our North East, North Carolina team. This position is responsible for taking the initiative to increase production and productivity performance while reducing costs and plays a key role in reaching management’s objectives through work force performance. **Requirements:

**

• High School or equivalent. Required (Bachelor’s Preferred)

• 7+ years manufacturing experience including 3+ years of Production Supervisory experience (Production/Shift Supv up to Superintendent level). Required

• Working knowledge of IATF (International Automotive Task Force). Required

• Microsoft Office Suite skills and knowledge. Required

• Working knowledge in the use of measuring tools (tape, calipers, micrometers) and basic machine setup. Required

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Develop extrusion department goals in conjunction with plant manager

• Communicate progress against targets

• Develop improvement plans with each dept based on measurable and schedulable actions

• Meet monthly budget and raise alerts when we deviate - good or bad.

• Assign direct reports responsibilities that they own to meet department goals

• Review schedule to see recovery, productivity, qty, die issues, resolve before schedule goes to press

• Ensure there are safe job procedures for all jobs in the department and update as needed.

• New procedures, equipment accident investigations

• Define current and upcoming staffing needs

• Monitor performance against goals and provide written annual feedback for direct reports
