Extrusion Operator (Evaluation-to-Hire)

Pay: $23–$30/hour (most start $23–$25)

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7AM–7PM / 7PM–7AM)

We’re hiring Extrusion Operators for a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility producing plastic strapping. This is a hands-on role with clear advancement into leadership positions for those who show initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and monitor plastic extrusion lines to keep production running smoothly

  • Learn step-by-step through a paid training program:- Start with winding & packaging

    • Move into material blending
    • Advance to running the extruder independently (3–6 months)
  • Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, speed) to meet product specs

  • Use touchscreen HMIs and automated equipment

  • Measure product using calipers/tape (fractions, decimals, millimeters)

  • Handle packaging, labeling, and production documentation

  • Troubleshoot alarms and assist with safe restarts

  • Follow safety procedures in a hot, industrial environment

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of extrusion or manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality (non-negotiable)
  • Ability to learn quickly and grow within the company
  • Attention to detail with measurements and product quality
  • Basic computer skills (touchscreens, simple systems)
  • Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 60 lbs (assistance/tools provided when needed)
  • Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled (hot) environment
