The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Supplier Quality Team located in Philadelphia PA area!
This position requires full-time on-site presence at Boeing supplier located in Philadelphia, PA area. This is at the discretion of the hiring team and may change in the future according to business need.
This position will perform the tasks of a Supplier Quality Engineer supporting aircraft and fabrication manufacturing within a production environment. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Ensuring and implementing preventive and corrective action
Compile, measure and analyze process capability data and process improvements.
Evaluate existing business practices for process improvements.
Ensure Supplier understands Quality requirements and has robust plans in place to meet expectations.
Review new SSOW/Program requirements to ensure suppliers Quality Assurance requirements are appropriately documented/flow-down.
Ensure the Supplier fully understands and commits to supporting all phases of the Boeing in-process inspection thru final acceptance
Position Responsibilities:
Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
Works under general direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location or at a supplier location.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
More than 3 years of experience with rotorcraft / vertical lift platforms
Currently hold or previously held an Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License
More than 3 years of experience with Government Aircraft MRO Operations
More than 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or Supplier Quality Specialist
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
More than 3 years working with Supplier Quality processes
Experience working with Supplier Quality Systems (i.e. SQIS, QDSS or similar)
More than 1 year of experience in the Government Aircraft MRO Operations
Experience in manufacturing and/or inspection processes for MH-139 platform
Experience with MH-139 maintenance and logistics operations
