Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pressman to join our manufacturing team. The Pressman will be responsible for operating and maintaining various printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires a strong understanding of print processes, color management, and quality control to ensure that all products meet precise specifications. Duties

Operate and oversee the setup of printing presses, including flexo, Heidelberg, and other manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance throughout production runs.
Prepare printing materials by performing prepress tasks such as layout design, typography adjustments, and color calibration using industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite.
Manage color consistency and accuracy across multiple print jobs by utilizing advanced color management techniques and tools.
Conduct quality control inspections during and after printing to identify defects, ensure color fidelity, and verify adherence to specifications.
Maintain and troubleshoot machinery including CNC machines, flexo presses, and machining tools to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Coordinate with the prepress team to review digital files for accuracy and readiness before printing.
Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for material handling within the manufacturing environment.
Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean work area in compliance with industry standards.
Assist in training new staff on press operation procedures and safety guidelines.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing print quality, efficiency, and workflow processes.

Skills

Minimum 5 years experience in a Printing Department (offset Litho is preferred)
Technical knowledge of offset lithographic processes and machines
Proficiency in printing techniques along with extensive experience in prepress processes.
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for preparing print-ready files
Strong knowledge of color management systems and print advertising standards.
Expertise in graphic design principles, layout design, typography, and print production workflows.
Knowledge of quality control procedures specific to printing operations; ability to identify defects early.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly during production runs.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
