Experienced Lead Moldmaker

Location: Arlington, TX, 76017

Overview

We are seeking an Experienced Lead Moldmaker to join our team at our facility in Arlington, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with mold construction, EDM machines, injection molding, be a go getter and possess strong leadership and people management skills.

1st shift hours are Monday-Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm and Friday 6am to noon.

Responsibilities

• Build plastic injection molds according to Company and/or client specifications.

• Build and design jigs and fixtures.

• Ensure quantity, quality and profitability of assignments.

• Troubleshoot problems with machinery, fixtures and molds.

• Works with management and others to create efficiencies and profitablility.

• Able to recognize design errors and correct whenever possible.

• Operation of all machines in the tool room.

• Operate EDM Machine (Sinker) and EDM Machine (Wire) to create molds.

• Utilize injection molding experience to produce high-quality molds.

• Lead and manage a team of moldmakers, providing guidance and support.

• Perform tool/die/mold repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in new mold builds for the plastic injection molding machines.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentage, area, circumference, and volume.
• Computer skills including a knowledge of Design software, development software, and manufacturig software.
• Understanding various types of steel, hydraulic components, electrical switches, and mold components.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to work with and lead other mold makers and see a project through to completion.

• Leadership / People Management
• Tool/Die/Mold Repair Skills
• ISO 9001 Certification Experience
