Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and store materials within our warehouse or production facility. The ideal candidate has prior forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Stage and organize materials for shipping and receiving.
- Verify product counts and inspect materials for damage.
- Maintain accurate inventory and complete required documentation.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
- Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and inventory skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting while operating equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
You should be proficient in:
- Warehouse Experience
- Material Handler Experience
- Loading and Unloading Vehicles
- Forklift Licensed
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
