Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing and inspection of machined parts to customer requirements

• Interpret and understand specifications as stated in Job Travelers, Inspection Reports, and Quality Control Plans

• Train Level 1 and 2 Machinists on machine operations and processes

• Adhere to Quality Management System procedures and Work Instructions

• Audit compliance with standard work instructions and process control plans to ensure production of good parts.

• Proficiently use measuring devices including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, intra-mics, and pin gages

• Support specific teams upon request

• Set up and operation of machines

• Trouble shooting tooling and fixture issues

• Make adjustments as needed to maintain the quality of the product

• Understand inspection techniques including GD&T

• Ability to demonstrate completion of skills listed in the Skills Matrix

• Completes all job-related paperwork and production reporting to accurately record time and attendance and inventory

• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards

• Complies with all safe practices, policies, and regulations

• Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in CNC Machining, CNC Programming, and Inspection philosophies required
• Practical math skills required
• High school diploma or GED** **required
• Previous experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) required
• Lean manufacturing and quality system experience preferred (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, and AS9100D preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
• Understanding of physical characteristics of materials such as stainless steels, titanium, and aluminum
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
