Job Overview:

Position Summary:

The A Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of domestic and foreign vehicles. This position requires advanced automotive knowledge, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to perform complex repairs while delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

As an A Mechanic, you are required to own your own tools AND specialty tools.

Pay is decided upon experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00am to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues using computerized diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform engine repairs, engine replacements, and engine performance diagnostics.
  • Repair and replace transmissions and drivetrain components.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair brake systems, including pads, rotors, calipers, and hydraulic components.
  • Perform steering, suspension, and wheel alignment services.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, wiring, sensors, and modules.
  • Service and repair automotive air conditioning and heating systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid services, filters, and tune-ups.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and accurately document findings and repair recommendations.
  • Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist and mentor lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Communicate repair needs and recommendations clearly with service advisors and customers.
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of automotive repair experience required.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Ability to perform advanced engine, transmission, electrical, and drivability repairs.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • ASE Certifications preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
