A leading company in complex metal fabrication, is experiencing unprecedented growth and seeking an elite Aerospace Welder to join our expanding team. As a highly skilled TIG welder with hands-on experience in the aerospace industry, you'll play a crucial role in our mission to push the boundaries of what's possible in metal fabrication. Your expertise in working with specialized materials like Inconel and aerospace-grade stainless steel will be instrumental in manufacturing high-precision aerospace components and products. In this position, you'll ensure the structural integrity and safety of our fabrications, contributing directly to our company's rapid expansion and continued success.

**Key Responsibilities

**

As an Aerospace Welder you will:

  • Interpret complex blueprints for welding projects with precision and accuracy
  • Select and measure materials according to exacting project specifications
  • Perform advanced welding operations using TIG and other appropriate techniques, especially with Inconel and aerospace-grade stainless steel
  • Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure finished work meets or exceeds blueprint tolerances
  • Successfully complete and pass various welding certification tests, maintaining your elite status in the field
  • Operate both conventional and precision measuring instruments with expertise
  • Carry out process inspection, certification, and documentation to maintain our high standards
  • Take charge of welding equipment maintenance, ensuring optimal performance
  • Apply your skills in grinding and finishing operations using manual and power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment, demonstrating your comprehensive knowledge

**Qualifications

**

  • Your educational background includes completion of a Vocational school / Machine Trade school welding course
  • You currently hold or have previously been certified as an Aerospace Welder
  • Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings is second nature to you
  • Your proficiency in various welding techniques, especially TIG welding, is directly relevant to aerospace manufacturing
  • You have extensive experience working with Inconel and aerospace-grade stainless steel
  • Basic math skills and a solid understanding of mechanical principles used in sheet metal fabrication are part of your toolkit
  • Using measuring instruments to produce parts within tight tolerances is a skill you've mastered
  • Your ability to perform unit conversions, including metric conversions, is sharp and reliable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or GED would be an asset
  • You bring previous experience in the aerospace or related manufacturing industries
  • Additional certifications in specialized welding techniques demonstrate your commitment to excellence

**Physical Requirements

**

This role is physically demanding and requires:

  • The ability to stand for up to two or three hours continuously
  • Occasional sitting, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and stooping
  • Capability to reach and grasp parts repeatedly throughout the day
  • Strength to lift 45lbs. minimum and up to 60lbs. individually, and up to 120lbs. in a "buddy" lift
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
