Experienced Automotive Mechanic

Location: Jacksonville, NC

Pay: Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday through Friday (Occasional Saturday work as needed)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues accurately and efficiently

• Perform major and minor engine repairs

• Remove, replace, and rebuild engines when necessary

• Diagnose transmission problems and perform transmission repairs or complete transmission replacements

• Complete brake repairs, suspension work, steering repairs, and general automotive maintenance

• Perform timing components, water pumps, gaskets, and other major mechanical repairs

• Use diagnostic scan tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle issues

• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose customer concerns

• Clearly communicate repair recommendations and findings

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on automotive repair experience

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities

• Proven experience performing engine and transmission repairs and swaps

• Experience working on both domestic and foreign vehicles is preferred

• Ability to independently diagnose complex mechanical issues

• Own a complete set of professional mechanic's tools

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Dependable, honest, and committed to producing quality work

• ASE Certifications are welcomed but not required. Real-world experience is what matters most.
