Job Title:Excavator operator Foreman (Utility Work)

Location:Columbus, OH (Travel Required)

Pay:$30–$40/hour (Based on Experience) + Per Diem

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experiencedExcavator Operator Foremanwith strong utility experience to lead crews in the field. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be expected to operate equipment, oversee daily job site operations, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to spec.

Projects are based in and around theColumbus, OH area, with travel required. Candidates must be comfortable staying on-site during projects (per diem provided).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage excavation crews on commercial job sites
• Perform and overseeutility installation(water, sewer, storm systems)
• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, etc.) as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes
• Ensure all work is performed safely and meets company and OSHA standards
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
• Maintain productivity, quality, and schedule on site

Qualifications

• Minimum5+ years of excavation experience, with utility work required
• Proven experienceleading and managing crews
• Strong equipment operating skills
• Ability to read plans and understand site layout and elevations
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
• Willingness to travel and stay on-site as needed
• Strong work ethic and reliability
