Position Overview

The Evaporator Dryer Operator supports production operations in the Ingredient Department. Reporting to the IBU Supervisor of Ingredients, this role is responsible for operating and monitoring processing equipment while ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance with GMP, SOP, and regulatory standards. The operator also supports equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and sanitation activities to maintain efficient production operations.


What You’ll Do

  • Operate and monitor evaporator dryer systems and related processing equipment. 
  • Track and record critical process parameters and take corrective action when needed. 
  • Prepare product batches to specification and perform quality checks including Brix, pH, and temperature testing. 
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and company quality standards. 
  • Perform CIP/COP sanitation procedures on tanks, silos, and product lines. 
  • Support preventive maintenance, work orders, and minor equipment repairs. 
  • Communicate production, quality, safety, and equipment issues with team members and incoming shifts. 
  • Maintain clean, organized, and stocked work areas. 
  • Assist mechanics with major repairs and support other production areas as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with all plant safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

 What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. 
  • Ability to operate manufacturing and processing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety standards. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across shifts and teams.
