Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer 3D CAD models (CATIA), blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope.

• Calculate comprehensive labor hours (Design, CNC, Bench, Assembly) and material costs.

• Determine the most efficient manufacturing sequence, including specialized outside services like heat treating, stress relieving, and NADCAP-certified plating.

• Secure competitive quotes for raw materials and outsourced components to ensure bid competitiveness.

• Work with the Design and Shop Floor teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment with shop capacity.

• Maintain detailed records of quote assumptions and participate in "kick-off" meetings for won projects.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in aerospace tooling, jig/fixture estimating, or precision machining.

• Strong ability to read blueprints and a solid understanding of GD&T.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to view/measure files in CATIA is a plus.

• Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100) and material properties.

• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale tooling or Invar weldments.

• Background in hands-on machining or tool making.

• Strong communication skills for direct interaction with customer purchasing and engineering departments
