Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for estimates.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and present findings to stakeholders.
• Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes.
• Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing for reference on future projects.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices to enhance estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.
