Project Estimator

Location: Southwest Florida

A growing precast concrete manufacturer serving the civil infrastructure market is seeking a Project Estimator to join its team. This position is responsible for reviewing construction documents, preparing estimates, and developing quotations for precast concrete products used in infrastructure, utility, transportation, and commercial construction projects.

The Project Estimator works closely with sales, project management, engineering, and production to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with manufacturing capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analyzing drawings, solving problems, and supporting projects from the bidding stage through production.

Key Responsibilities

-Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents

-Perform quantity takeoffs for precast concrete products

-Prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotations

-Evaluate project scope, materials, labor, freight, and production requirements

-Coordinate with sales, engineering, project management, and production throughout the estimating process

-Respond to customer inquiries and quotation revisions

-Maintain organized estimating files and project documentation

-Manage multiple estimates while meeting customer deadlines

-Help ensure estimates accurately reflect manufacturing capabilities and project requirements

-Support continuous improvement within the estimating process

Qualifications

-Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

-Experience estimating precast concrete, concrete products, heavy civil, utilities, site development, or related construction projects

-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

-Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing project estimates

-Strong organizational and time management skills

-Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office

-Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
