Electrical Reliability Services (ERS) is looking for graduate Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our Commissioning Group nationally.  This exciting opportunity includes the ability to work remotely, travel the United States, and has tremendous career growth opportunities.  We offer continued professional and personal development, competitive compensation, lucrative overtime pay, and excellent benefits. ERS is a subsidiary of Vertiv (formerly Emerson Network Power).  While ERS has been a leader in the commissioning of mission critical facilities for over a decade, Vertiv is committed to creating a world class Commissioning Group.  This is a large-scale effort to provide comprehensive services to our current customers and to expand our commissioning services nationally and internationally.  As part of its plan to grow the Commissioning Group globally, Vertiv recently hired a new Commissioning Vice President in 2018; creating exciting opportunities for Mechanical or Electrical Building Commissioning Engineers.  After 3-1/2 years, the ERS Commissioning Group has grew over 50% year over year and will continue to grow at this rate for some time.  New graduate engineers will be trained and mentored by our world-class commissioning team.  This training and mentoring will be hands-on in the field working on active projects, not just stuck behind a desk in an office.  Thus, we are looking for highly self-motivated and proactive graduate engineers that want to hit the ground running. 


  • Perform required annual safety, department, and project training.
  • Learn the building commissioning process.
  • Learn and Train on all aspects of commissioning of mechanical or electrical equipment and systems. 
  • Operate safely in a construction atmosphere performing commissioning services.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate Bachelor Engineer (BSEE or BSME).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Requires a high degree of communication, supervisory, and organization skills.
  • Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients and peers.
  • Communicate technical or project related subjects accurately via email.
  • Performs well as part of a team of various groups and disciplines.
  • Strong computer skills including editing, formatting in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF’s, use of Internet for standards/products/ manufacturer research, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work.
  • Must be available for out-of-town travel of up to several weeks at a time.  International travel may be required.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • All other duties as assigned.
