This role serves as the central authority for part numbers, bill of materials (BOM), cost, routings, and engineering changes, ensuring Plex remains the system of record across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.

This position bridges the downstream product data lifecycle from engineering release into Plex and through manufacturing execution to ensure seamless product data flow, accurate cost roll-ups, and operational readiness. The role combines deep Plex system expertise with cross-functional coordination to enforce data standards, manage engineering changes, and enable efficient, error-free manufacturing execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain BOM structures in Plex as the system of record, including revision control, effectivity, and timely removal of obsolete components.
  • Own engineering change execution within Plex (Change Request / Change Notice processes), including BOM/routing updates, document control, and full audit traceability.
  • Serve as the Plex subject matter expert (SME), owning system configuration, data structures, and alignment with business processes.
  • Own the translation and deployment of product data from engineering release into Plex ERP and through manufacturing execution, ensuring accurate and timely translation of engineering releases into Plex for production planning, material requirements, and costing.
  • Coordinate cross-functional implementation of changes across Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment and execution without disruption.
  • Validate and govern BOMs, routings, and material master data to ensure accuracy against current engineering designs, manufacturing processes, and logistics conditions.
  • Ensure accurate product cost roll-ups by maintaining alignment between ERP data structures, sourcing strategies, and engineering definitions.
  • Lead data standardization, cleansing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and support digital transformation and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain reporting and data validation tools to monitor data accuracy, system performance, and key business metrics.
  • Support and enable Plex system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and user training, collaborating with IT and external partners as needed.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in ERP systems, master data management, engineering change control, or manufacturing systems.
  • Direct experience with Plex ERP strongly required. Experience with ERP integrations (PLM, MES, EDI, APIs) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including BOM structures, routings, inventory control, and production planning.
  • Experience with engineering change processes and product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience owning master data governance and cross-functional data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and experience with SQL or reporting tools preferred.
