Job Overview:

Equipment Repair Technician / Mechanic

We are looking for a mechanically inclined technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cleaning and restoration equipment. This is a hands-on service role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working with tools, and figuring out how mechanical and electrical components work together.

The strongest background would be someone with appliance repair, equipment service, maintenance, or machine repair experience. Small engine or automotive experience can also translate, but appliance repair is especially relevant because of the mix of motors, pumps, wiring, components, and troubleshooting involved.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues
  • Repair and maintain commercial cleaning and restoration equipment
  • Troubleshoot motors, pumps, wiring, switches, hoses, and related components
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine service
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Assist customers with basic equipment troubleshooting as needed
  • Keep the service area clean, safe, and organized
  • Maintain accurate repair and service information
  • Assist with incoming equipment and service workflow
  • Help with other shop or warehouse duties as needed

What we’re looking for

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Previous appliance repair, equipment repair, maintenance, or machine service experience
  • Comfortable troubleshooting both mechanical and basic electrical issues
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Dependable attendance and work ethic
  • Willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of repairs
  • Good communication with customers and coworkers

Strong background matches could include

  • Appliance Repair Technician
  • Equipment Repair Technician
  • Maintenance Technician
  • Machine Technician
  • Service Technician
  • Industrial Maintenance
  • Mechanical Technician
  • Automotive Technician
  • Small Engine Mechanic

Direct experience with commercial cleaning or restoration equipment is a plus, but not required. The biggest priority is someone who is naturally mechanical, comfortable diagnosing equipment issues, and able to learn how different machines operate.
