Job Overview:
The Levy Group of Companies (Schmidt) is seeking an Equipment Operator, with at least 5 years of experience, to work at our Fountain, CO location. The Operator will operate heavy equipment, specifically Excavator and Dozer.
Pay: Starting at $27 per hour + DOE
Shift/Schedule: Full Time, overtime as needed

Responsibilities
The Operator will:
- Safely operate Excavator and Dozer
- Mining - digging and loading haul trucks to feed plant
- Settling ponds - digging and loading haul trucks to remove material from settling ponds
- Stripping - digging and loading haul trucks with overburden
- Various projects as needed
- Performing daily machine inspections
- Communicating with office and field personnel
- Inspect grade and elevations correctly
- Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to operate grader, roller, and loader
- Knowledge of materials
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time
- Work outside for an extended period of time
- Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments
- Ability to read and write
- Valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
