***Job Summary:

• An Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation and general daily maintenance of all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Equipment may include, but is not limited to, pavers, rollers, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and loaders. The Equipment Operator must also maintain and secure all equipment by company policy and procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently is a priority.

***Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant industry standards, policies, and site procedures to minimize risk of injury, property damage or loss of life;
Ability to excavate and maintain required grade;
Complete projects in a timely manner to keep crew productive;
Performs daily safety and maintenance checks;
Assists in loading and unloading of equipment;
Cleans equipment as scheduled and/or required;
Ensures equipment is safely and securely stored at close of shift;
Maintains operator forms and records in accordance with company policy and procedures;
When not operating equipment, works with and assists crew in completing assigned task, including, but not limited to, general labor, concrete work, asphalt work, etc.;
Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times;
Practices workplace safety on a continual basis; and
Performs other duties as required or assigned.

***Qualifications:

Must have three years’ experience in operating heavy equipment;
Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious;
Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States;
Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as assigned;
Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others;
Must be able to take oral and written orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and managers; and
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and acceptable driving history as determined at the sole discretion of the company.
