About the Role

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining shop machinery and equipment, including performing mechanical and control repairs. The role also encompasses working with hydraulics, pneumatics, security equipment, and production systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair shop machinery and equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair production systems, including CNC and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and piping schematics to aid in troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Utilize a basic understanding of PLC ladder logic and CNC programming for troubleshooting electronic controls.
  • Use a multimeter and other diagnostic tools to perform detailed assessments.
  • Address math problems as required to complete tasks in the department.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation every six weeks, ensuring equipment uptime and minimal disruption.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical documentation.
  • Basic understanding of PLC controls, CNC equipment, and programming.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to be on call as needed.
