The Equipment Assembly and Repair Technician will assemble and package new equipment for customer orders. Technicians will also set up and tear down demonstration equipment for customer demonstrations. They may also be asked to work on repairing/rebuilding used equipment that has been sent in by customers. Technicians will work both independently and in a team environment depending on the task.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Assembly, testing, and packaging of new equipment.
· Setting up and tearing down equipment for customer demonstrations.
· Operating fork trucks and overhead hoists to move equipment during rigging, assembly, and packaging functions.
· Reading and interpreting basic mechanical diagrams, and electrical diagrams.
· Rebuilding and testing equipment to ensure the quality of rebuilt equipment prior to shipping to customers.
· Diagnosing customer equipment malfunctions or failures through logical deduction and systematic testing procedures.
· Executing general shop functions: organization, cleaning, and warehousing tasks.
· Meets daily production goals.
· Assists sales and applications engineering personnel during product testing or customer demonstrations.
· Any other additional duties as assigned.

·High school diploma/GED along with a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience required. Technical associates degree or certification preferred.
· Ability to understand and work with mechanical and electrical components of equipment, including disassembly, assembly, troubleshooting and repair required.
· Working experience in technical assembly or service of technical equipment preferred.
· Critical thinking with the ability to evaluate technical issues systematically and make informed decisions to resolve issues.
· Proficient using hand and power tools to assemble or repair machinery.
· Sense of urgency and pride in the quality of your work.
· Attention to detail.
· Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
· Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not required.
· Requires valid driver’s license and must be insurable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Technicians must also be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to use standard hand tools and power tools safely. Drive a forklift truck. Climb ladder, height tolerance (not afraid of heights).
