Job Description

York Employment is seeking an Environmental SafetyCoordinator in the City of Chino to support workplace safety and environmental compliance across operations. This role helps maintain a safe work environment by coordinating EHS programs, supporting inspections and training, maintaining compliance records, and assisting with incident reporting and corrective action follow-up. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with employees across departments in a manufacturing environment. (First shift opening-8:00am to 5:00pm, must be flexible to start earlier.)

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs

• Conduct routine safety inspections and help track corrective actions

• Coordinate incident, injury, and near-miss reporting and maintain related documentation

• Support employee safety training and coordinate required compliance training

• Maintain accurate records for inspections, training, incidents, and compliance activities

• Assist with workers’ compensation administration and follow-up communication

• Support environmental compliance tracking and documentation

• Promote safe work practices and a safety-first culture throughout the organization

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of relevant experience in EHS, manufacturing, or a related field preferred

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field preferred

• Working knowledge of OSHA standards, incident reporting, safety training practices, and environmental compliance requirements

• OSHA 10/30 or other EHS-related training or certification is a plus

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with supervisors, employees, and cross-functional teams
