ASRC Federal Communications is seeking an Environmental Program Manager for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer.
This position manages the overall environmental program for the ISS2-GSL project at Wake Island, Eareckson, and King Salmon Air Stations. Applies knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations and standards. Coordinates, directs and monitors all facility environmental compliance programs, audits, and corrective actions. Develops, implements, and monitors programs and procedures to ensure environmentally compliant, safe and legal operation and maintenance of facilities.

- Hazardous Waste Management
- Hazardous Materials Management
- Pest Management and Biosecurity
- Cultural Resources Management
- Natural Resources Management
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention
- POL Storage Management
- Spill Response
- Drinking Water Systems Management
- Wastewater Systems Management
- Groundwater Monitoring, Long Term Monitoring, Land Use Controls
- Other Environmental Mitigation and Remediation Methods
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures necessary for operational success, meeting customer requirements, and complying with applicable Federal, State, and local environmental laws and regulations, and standards.
- Implement company EHS training programs for facilities. Arrange, coordinate and perform environmental, health and safety training, including new employee (onboarding) orientation and ongoing training programs.
- Develop and implement monitoring programs for industrial hygiene, solid waste generation, and water discharges to meet the requirements of federal and state regulations, laws and regulations, and corporate EHS policies.
- Implement, follow and assist in enforcement of corporate policies and procedures to assure an environmentally compliant, safe workplace for all employees, contractors and visitors.
- Monitor and keep required records of each facility’s operation to demonstrate compliance with all federal, state, and local operating permits.
- Coach, mentor, and train site environmental personnel.
- Conduct facility Environmental inspections and address identified deficiencies.
- Serve as facility point of contact for communication, documentation and reporting to the customer.
- Maintain accurate filing system for Environmental records, including permit applications, permits, records, operating logs, test reports and monitoring reports.
- Maintain internal reporting and information systems and communicate non-compliance events, public/media issues, and environmental testing/inspection activities to facility and corporate personnel.
- Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Recommend and evaluate environmental products for procurement.
- Prepare, present, and lead the quarterly Environmental Working Group meeting. Ensure meeting minutes are written and distributed. Ensure actions identified in the meeting are tracked to closure.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; company information management systems; and agency reporting software.
- Proficiency with the Government’s EESOH-MIS database.
