The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager leads MacLean-Fogg’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, advancing our Mission Zero goal of zero incidents, injuries, and environmental impact. This role drives continuous improvement in safety performance. It ensures full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards across our Mallard Manufacturing business (which consists of locations in Sterling, IL, and Maquoketa, IA).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and improvement of EHS policies and programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard analyses, and facility inspections.
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Deliver employee training on safety practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee environmental management programs, including waste reduction, pollution prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
- Track and analyze EHS performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, audits, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Foster a proactive safety culture that emphasizes employee involvement and accountability.
- Collaborate with site and corporate leadership to align EHS goals with operational objectives.

Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in a lean manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading safety programs and compliance initiatives.
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and data analysis tools.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
- Experience with sustainability and energy reduction initiatives.
- Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments.
