Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician in our North Mankato-MN facility. In this role, you will operator, adjust, maintain and troubleshoot our envelope printing equipment while partnering with your team to produce high-quality products in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Accurately follow job orders, work instructions, and production schedules to produce high-quality printed products
• Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct
• Set up, adjust, start, and operate printing equipment for a variety of jobs, including multi-color and multi-process equipment in accordance with production schedules
• Monitor product for quality during job runs. Check preciseness of detail against specifications. Take action to correct any problems
• Monitor equipment performance during production runs, troubleshoot minor issues, and identify or escalate mechanical concerns to maintenance as needed
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and inspections to keep machinery operating efficiently
• Meet production standards while controlling waste, spoilage, and rework
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure safe operations, consistent quality, and efficient workflow
• Complete related logs and paperwork with accuracy
• General Examples: Complex multi-color and multi-process inline equipment, Photocopy digital high speed multi-color technical web press with finishing

Your Shift:

• 2nd Shift; Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00am

You Must Have:

• Mechanical and technical skills/aptitude
• Basic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
• Ability to operate equipment to obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standards
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Strong attention to detail

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

• Ability to distinguish colors
• Experience in a production related environment

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18 - 23. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
