Job Description

We are looking for an Entry-Level CMM Operator to join our Quality/Metrology team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn a highly skilled field and build a long-term career in inspection, metrology, and quality.

You do not need to be an expert CMM operator to be successful in this position. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, willing to learn, and interested in working with precision measurement equipment.

What You'll Do

• Learn to set up and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment
• Inspect castings, fixtures, and other precision components
• Follow work instructions and use the appropriate CMM inspection program
• Measure parts accurately and document inspection results
• Generate required inspection reports
• Learn how to calibrate and maintain measuring equipment
• Identify and communicate quality issues
• Work with Quality, Engineering, and Production to help resolve issues
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and ready for the next job

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Dependable and willing to learn

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience reading technical drawings or blueprints
• Basic understanding of GD&T
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or other inspection equipment
• Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100D or NADCAP
