Position Title: Engineering Technician
Position Overview: This on-site Engineering Technician role is responsible for verifying and validating new products and product enhancements, ensuring all solutions meet or exceed product requirements. Products include
Instant issuance card solutions for desktop printers, which produce financial, gift, incentive, and ID cards.
Integrated rear module solutions that support card indenting, impressing, and UV curing.
Integrated lower module solutions that support card lamination and embossing.
Materials and supplies that support the card production process.
Our solutions incorporate security, software, firmware, electrical, chemical, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities
Execute verification and validation testing for new products, modules, and enhancements.
Configure card printers, software, and systems to align with test environment requirements.
Document and track issues in Jira. Isolate issues to the major component level.
Collaborate with development teams to support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Order supplies. Maintain the test lab, systems, and test environment.
This position will take direction from more than one source.
Basic Qualifications:
An understanding of safety when operating electromechanical system and devices.
Experience with the Windows operating system.
Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook and Word.
Understands logic. Understands dependencies and cause and effect.
Understanding of Black box test methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to utilize AI to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
Experience with electromechanical systems, test equipment, and product validation.

Focused on priorities.
Drives to a conclusion.
Can communicate, written and verbal, with cross-functional engineering disciplines in the areas of mechanical, electrical, software, firmware and materials engineers using their respective jargon.
Engaged in the testing process to suggest opportunities for improvement and the willingness to drive change.
Schedule/date driven. An understanding and appreciation for sense of urgency especially towards the latter part of a test cycle.
Can manage issues or barriers and looks for ways to make progress.
Self-aware – attends to gaps in skills and competencies. A learning mindset.
Works well within a Test and Product Development Team.
