Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician/Technical Operations Specialist. This role is responsible for supporting engineering development activities, coordinating manufacturing operations for engineering trials, and ensuring components and assemblies are tracked, inspected, and available for validation efforts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Job Duties
- Support engineering development activities by partnering with senior engineers on product validation and manufacturing initiatives
- Gather, measure, inspect, and track components required for engineering trials and testing
- Coordinate the shipping, receiving, packaging, unpackaging, and movement of parts between facilities
- Maintain accurate documentation and operational tracking for engineering activities
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations to identify defects and support containment actions
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support daily operations
- Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and assembly issues during development builds
- Organize and sort parts to support quality inspections and engineering evaluations
Skills & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to quickly learn new software and engineering tracking systems
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical prints
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis methodologies such as 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 35 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout an active manufacturing environment for extended periods
- Ability to follow all required safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE

- Experience in automotive manufacturing

- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and component tracking processes
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering and production teams
