Job Purpose:

This position is critical in supporting the maintenance, and repair of military systems and technologies.

 Job Description:

The Engineering Technician will collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to ensure that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires a thorough understanding of engineering principles, technical documentation, and hands-on skills to troubleshoot and repair complex systems. Will be responsible for conducting tests, analyzing data, and creating reports that inform decision-making processes.

  •  Conduct tests and evaluations of complex systems and subassemblies.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation and reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform diagnostic and operational testing on subassemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and FOD standards.
  • Inspects, tests, adjusts, and certifies moderately complex assemblies, subassemblies, parts, and systems for compliance with specifications and quality assurance practices following blueprints, schematics and inspection manuals using hand tools and precision testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to develop and implement improvements
  • Repair of faulty components.
  • Sets up standard test equipment.
  • Functional and operational testing of systems
  • Environmental testing.
  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical, electronic, and optical components as needed.
  • Assembles and/or modifies wiring assemblies.
  • Installing/removing electrical, mechanical, or optical assemblies/subassemblies.
  • Reviews and edits technical data and develops/revises charts, graphs and schematics to describe and illustrate systems operating characteristics.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment and systems.
  • Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 Job Requirements:

  • Systems troubleshooting, fault isolation/diagnosis and the ability to read and comprehend technical data.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and optical assemblies.
  • Experience in reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or related field
  • Or Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
