Summary:
The Engineering Technician will support the Custom Product Solutions (CPS) Engineering in design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices. Support New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI), and manufacturing support of CPS products and services.
What you will do:
- Help develop new manufacturing processes as required
- Assist engineers in design and assembly of fixtures and equipment
- Assist engineers with drawings, change requests, and engineering prototypes
- Assist engineers with BOMs, routers, and other documents
- Draft simple protocols based on templates as assigned by engineers
- Execute engineering protocols and run engineering experiments
- Compile proper information and create Operating Procedures
- Produce and inspect products at an acceptable quality level
- Follow existing Test Methods for various types of testing
- Develop Test Methods for new tests, as required

- Maintain orderly and safe working conditions as well as perform all duties in accordance with established procedures and good manufacturing procedures.

- Able to establish good working relationships with all levels of operations
- Complete other related tasks as assigned by engineers

Skills for Success:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years’ experience in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred
- Manufacturing of needle products experience is a plus
- Communicate skills at a minimum High School level English (Read, Write, Speak)
- Understand scientific units and measures as well as perform basic mathematical calculations
- Good knowledge of basic assembly tools like wrenches, pliers, cutters, cordless tools and bits
- Able to read basic engineering drawings and interpret technical instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as editing drawings in AutoCAD and Solid Works
