The Engineering Technician 3 position is to focus on high complexity products that require a keen focus to develop and optimize the assembly process and associated work instructions. This role is responsible for solving customer / assembly specific problems in the manufacturing process and ensuring process designs are achieving the highest efficiency. Responsible for the support of product engineering.

Duties:

• Provide shop floor support in a complex manufacturing environment.

• Provide required surface mount technical support for the process and equipment.

• Create and maintain machine programs under the guidance of the engineering department.

• Solder paste screen printer & inspection, reflow profiles, AOI & AXI programs

• Assist in evaluating or creating new stencil designs and/or placement programs for surface mount using Gerber or CAD data supplied by customer.

Preferred Education and/or Experience for the Engineering Technician 3:

• High School diploma/G.E.D. required

• Minimum of four (4) years in the electronics industries involving performance of machine and process development.

• Must have strong communication and organization skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; attention to detail is a must.

• Must have excellent problem solving skills and possess good analytical, verbal and written communication skills
