Job Overview:

If you are a Project Management or Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Seattle, WA, you will be a part of the North America Services group who provides fully engineered control system solutions for power plants & wastewater facilities. As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be managing full lifecycle projects, including leading or supporting proposals, awards, planning, design, procurement, production, factory acceptance testing, delivery, field installation and subcontracting, commissioning, closeout, and warranty support.


***This position will support King County wastewater facilities (Bright, West Point, and South Point) and will be working on site. Due to this, we would like candidates to live within an hour radius of King County.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule in detail, a project’s implementation, resources, and financial plan
  • Supervise and lead the project plan and schedule
  • Exhibit confident project management skills that set team expectations and effectively balance workloads
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the activities of electrical, mechanical, and engineering subcontractors
  • Lead, supervise, and archive contract documents including primary contracts, change orders, proposals, correspondence, and compliance matrixes
  • Anticipate, recognize, and negotiate changes from the detailed scope of work
  • Manage contract risk and engage engineering resources to ensure technical risk is mitigated
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be very organized in workflow and documentation processes
  • Demonstrate effective and proven relationship building skills
  • Prioritize, schedule, and lead the pre-bid meeting and any additional site visits
  • Prioritize and facilitate proposal kickoff calls, meetings, and review sessions
  • Coordinate with Sales to help shepherd proposals through the bid process by treating them as mini projects
  • Provide guidance regarding future project execution and management

You understand internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs. You deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. You maintain a track record of exceeding goals successfully.
 

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science or a similar technical educational curriculum, or relevant experience in lieu of education
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Water and/or wastewater experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Up to 20% travel. 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
     
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Project Management Institute PMP certification
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Automation controls on systems experience (DCS systems, other competitors)

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $103,615- 148,005, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
