We are currently hiring a Senior Manager to lead Architecture and Systems Engineering efforts within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies department. In this capacity, the Senior Manager will lead a team of high performing engineers in the development of system concepts of operation, architectures, system requirements, system designs, algorithm development, and systems integration and test for a variety of RF products. The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Radar Technologies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:- Guide the concept formulation and architecture development of new RF products to meet warfighter needs
- Facilitate systems requirements development including decomposition of requirements from statements of work, higher level requirements documents, and other sources of information
- Oversee system design activities including subsystem definitions, interface definitions, and functional allocations
- Develop mission plans, waveforms, and algorithms to meet key performance parameters and requirements
- Collaborate with systems integration and test lead on test planning, readiness, analysis, and test execution
- Coordinate efforts to prepare for major reviews including Systems Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs)
- Present product concepts, performance data, and program status to senior level customer and internal GA-EMS stakeholders
- As a member of a multi-disciplinary hardware/software/systems team, collaborate on backlog planning, implementation approach, and integration and test plans
- Foster a rewarding and collaborative engineering environment
- Perform functional team lead responsibilities including planning, tasking, hiring, resourcing, and conduct of team member performance reviews
- Support responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering or a related technical field as well as thirteen or more years of progressively complex engineering experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.
- Demonstrated experience leading architecture and systems engineering within a cross-functional product development team
- Experience interfacing with senior level customers (internally and externally)
- Experience in air traffic control, surveillance, or fire control radar systems development and testing
- Experience in electronic warfare systems development and testing
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout a fast-paced, R&D environment
- Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals
- Must be customer focused and able to work on a self- initiated basis or in a team environment
- Must be willing to travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required.
