Engineering Manager – Manufacturing

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop a team supporting custom-engineered electrical products within a manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for driving execution, enhancing processes, and ensuring the accurate, high-quality, and on-time delivery of engineering outputs.

This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong focus on team development, operational performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day engineering operations to ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings and project deliverables
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, supply chain, and project management to support production schedules and customer requirements
Manage team workload, priorities, and resources to meet deadlines and performance objectives
Coach, mentor, and develop engineering team members to support skill growth and career progression
Drive process improvements, workflow optimization, and standardization across engineering functions
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (delivery, quality, throughput) to improve team effectiveness
Identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting productivity, efficiency, and output
Support and implement strategic initiatives, including tools, systems, and process enhancements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams
Experience in engineered-to-order (ETO) or custom product environments
Strong understanding of power distribution equipment (low and/or medium voltage preferred)
Proven experience with process improvement, standardization, and performance management
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
