Engineering Manager

As engineering manager for Noble’s production engineering group, you will be a key contributor to our continuous innovations supporting business segments from the pet industry to the Department of Defense.Our workplace is fast paced and continuously evolving, with the engineering team leading the way to bring products to reality in a highly automated, high volume production environment.

Engineering Department Overview

Develop, implement, improve, and troubleshoot production processes, methods, tooling, and equipment to include molds, molding machines, robotics and support systems. The department works hand in hand with our operations, sales, and finance groups to further the company’s goals.

We are looking for an Engineering Manager passionate about making things, team collaboration, manufacturing, and automation. The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing technical and professional guidance to a technical team while maintaining an environment that embodies the Noble Plastics cultural values. Guidance includes but is not limited to career development, standardization, feasibility, and risk management. The Engineering Manager is accountable for schedule, stakeholder communication, employee satisfaction, and project performance. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

You Will Have These Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Engineers and Technicians, providing technical and professional guidance
  • Review and manage project timelines
  • Continuously assess organization capacity and address deficits
  • Facilitate and drive continuous improvement
  • Organize and Secure data procured and developed by the department
  • Review and approval of project scopes
  • Develop and maintain departmental budget

The Tools You Will Bring With You

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years in a related field with 2 years of management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a cohesive and collaborative team while maintaining productivity.
  • Professional, clear communication skills
  • Project Management skills
  • Fundamental understanding of electro-mechanical systems and sensor technology
  • Must have a working design knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing technologies
  • Understanding of process capability
  • Proficient in at least 2 of the following:
  • GD&T- PLC programing- Robot Programing- Test and Measurement methods
    • Six Sigma
    • Solidworks PDM
    • Plastics Manufacturing
    • SCRUM

You should be proficient in:

  • Bachelor's Degree
