Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Mansfield, OH · Onsite · $120,000 to $165,000 plus bonus · Direct hire · Local candidates only

An award-winning automotive supplier near Mansfield is hiring an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to run both engineering and maintenance at its plant. The turnaround is complete, capital investment is rising and new business awards keep coming, so the plant is set up for growth.

You would report to the Plant Manager, lead a team of direct and indirect reports, and join an energetic site leadership team.

What you would do

• Lead, coach and mentor the engineering and maintenance team
• Manage day-to-day production engineering needs
• Improve processes by removing bottlenecks and raising throughput
• Drive engineering and continuous improvement projects to completion, on budget and on time
• Manage the annual capital equipment budget
• Support complex electrical troubleshooting, including PLCs, robotics and other automation
• Lead validation of new equipment
• Build and improve preventative maintenance programs and prioritize facilities and maintenance projects
• Direct equipment troubleshooting, delegate projects and oversee outside contractors
• Develop and track engineering KPIs, and present metrics, timelines and budgets to management

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 3+ years of similar manufacturing engineering management experience, ideally with an automotive supplier or in fast-paced, mass production manufacturing
• Experience managing others
• Strong manufacturing background, including multi-shift operations
• Strong continuous improvement background
• Experience overseeing budgets
• Experience working in automated environments
• Microsoft Office skills
• Nice to have: ERP experience, Power BI, Microsoft Project, Lean or Six Sigma certification
• Live within commuting distance of Mansfield, OH

• $120,000 to $165,000 per year, plus bonus potential of up to two months' salary
