Job Overview:

Job Summary

Maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime, ensure product quality, and support overall production goals. This senior-level technician is responsible for reducing machine downtime, mentoring maintenance technicians, and collaborating across departments to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Strong background in electrical control systems, robotics, and industrial automation, and demonstrate leadership in safety and 5S workplace organization

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reduce machine downtime performing advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment in a high-paced manufacturing environment
  • Mentor and train maintenance technicians enhancing their technical capabilities in areas such as PLC programming, robotics, and vision system setup.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing machine performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams to address equipment-related production challenges and ensure optimal equipment utilization.
  • Assist in resolving complex machinery issues including those involving electrical control circuits, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical components.
  • Lead and participate in 5S initiatives.
  • Facilitate and contribute to weekly safety meetings sharing safety topics and best practices to support a culture of safety with maintenance technicians. 
  • The ability to communicate at a high level, both receiving and disseminating information for clear understanding.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
 • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing with emphasis on:
 • Electrical control circuit design and troubleshooting
 • PLC programming and diagnostics 
 • Robotics setup and maintenance
 • Camera and sensor integration
 • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
 • Mechanical maintenance and repair
 
 

Physical Requirements Essential to Perform Duties of the Job

  • Occasionally in sitting position to perform duties at desk and on computer
  • Occasionally must lift up to 40 lbs
  • Frequently communicates with employees, customers and suppliers to understand their requests
  • Frequently walks, kneels and stands on concrete floor

Must wear safety shoes with either composite, alloy or steel toe and have EH rating
