The promise of genetic medicine has arrived, and Sarepta is at the forefront. We hold leadership positions in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and limb-girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMDs), and we currently have more than 40 programs in various stages of development in gene therapy, RNA and gene editing. In 2023, we launched our fourth therapy and the first ever gene therapy to treat Duchenne.

The Importance of the Role
The Opportunity to Make a Difference
This application is for a 6-month co-op program that will start on July 7th, 2025, and conclude on December 19th, 2025. This is a full-time, 40 hours a week, co-op program.
Assist downstream scientists in the design, preparation, and execution of process development experiments.
Work independently on a research project aimed at optimizing a select unit operation within the downstream process for AAV manufacturing.
Participate in weekly process development meetings.
Refinement of laboratory skills via introduction to new experimental techniques, exposure to current challenges in bioprocess research, and perspectives on the practical aspects of drug development.
More about You
Undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate student majoring in a science-oriented field, preferably (but not limited to) chemical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering.
One year of laboratory research experience or equivalent is preferred.
Experience with protein purification is preferred.
Experience with statistical software such as JMP or SIMCA is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
This role is on-site and will require regular work in a laboratory setting.
