JOB SUMMARY 


Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc. is currently seeking a first time Engineering Co-op for our fast-paced CNC machine shop. This will be a single block co-op. Candidate will be supporting an Engineering team. The individual in this role will support Project, Programming and Quality Engineers and be expected to interface with all on a daily basis.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates blueprints from customer supplied model files.
  • Creates 3D model files for supporting outsource purchasing operations.
  • Assists Toolcrib personnel to learn tooling nomenclature and proper application of tooling.
  • Creates precision and production assembly instructions. 
  • Makes prints and downloads files from secure customer sites.
  • Maintains electronic master file system.
  • Supports production quality documentation.
  • Monitors emails and prepares documents for quoting.
  • Collects Production Tracking forms and logs information into Excel.
  • Utilizes Inspection Manager Software to create bubbled drawings and QCRs.
  • Creates In-Process Inspection Reports coordinated by Quality Control and Floor Supervisors.
  • Works in Assembly to learn about Heli coil, dowel pin, and pem installation.
  • Works in Quality Control to learn about inspection methods.
  • Updates and submits Production and Engineering forms for review.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of 3D modeling software
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel 
  • Ability to create concise visual instructions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering


According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $19.00 - $22.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
