This is a 4th shift position working a 3/12 work schedule Friday through Sunday. A 10% shift differential added to the base rate.

The Candidate will: 

• Provides engineering support on MRSI pick and place die bond machines, current production programs and supports overall manufacturing execution to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Proactively identifies machine issues, improvements and engages with factory and program teams to implement fixes and continuous improvement initiatives for achieving operational excellence.
• Day to day support of the production floor activities, driving defect reduction, root cause activities, and daily interaction with technicians and operators.
• Analyze defect data to identify areas to improve yield and reduce defects.
• Repairs and maintains assembly tooling, fixtures and equipment to support current manufacturing operations and recommends changes for production ramp-ups.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supports the implementation of new automation assembly equipment including programming, process qualifications and supporting tooling design through the tooling group.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Typical Education and Experience

Typically a High School Diploma and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

• Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in die attach processes and the use of precision tooling.
• Computer Skills: Ability to interface with computer control interface.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills and Education

• RF Knowledge: Familiarity with the unique requirements of RF/Microwave components (e.g., minimizing parasitic inductance, managing thermal expansion).

• Tooling: Experience with ultrasonic wire bonding or flip-chip technology.
