This is a first shift position working a 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday). BAE Systems is looking for an Engineering Assistant III on the Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) Technical Operations Team. Our Technical Operations team supports the assembly, test and inspection of many ACES products and we regularly interface, collaborate and support Engineering, Systems, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations Functions to meet business and customer's needs.
This position will primarily focus on process authoring and process updating as well as facilitating factory process, product verification and first article inspection (PPV/FAI) requirements. Additionally, they may assist in resolving processing issues for operators and technicians on the factory floor while engaging with continuous improvement activities. This position will work closely with process engineers, value stream specialists (VSS), operators and technicians to drive process technical solutions.

Required Skills and Education
- High School Diploma OR GED
- 2- 3 years' work or equivalent experience
- Be able to work independently.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and possess strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds.
Preferred Skills and Education
- High school diploma and 3-4 years experience working in a factory setting.
- Experience with AS9145, QMS systems, non-conformance processing and product process (PPV) verification and first article inspection (FAI).
- Partner with process engineers to incorporate technical resolutions and methods into processes.
- Excellent communication skills with knowledge of photo taking and phot editing.
- Organized and able to multitask.
- Participate and contribute towards process improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in using Paperless MES system.
- Abiltity to engage with Supervisors, operators, Process Engineers and Quality Engineers in a collaborative manner to best articulate process steps.
