Vertiv is currently looking to add an Engineering Department Coordinator to our Anderson, SC team. We looking for a team member who are 100% team-oriented, self-driven, and technically proficient. We are building a team of motivated and detail-oriented people who will produce a quality product for some of the most prestigious clients in the world.
This opportunity is for someone who wants to support a technically driven engineering team by keeping schedules, data, and reporting tools accurate and current. Our leadership team will guide you on priorities, but a willingness to get the job done, learn multiple systems, and work across concurrent projects is a must. This position is best suited to someone who is highly organized, comfortable navigating several software platforms, and wants exposure to Engineer-to-Order (ETO) design operations for Electrical Switchgear.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project schedules across active Engineer-to-Order (ETO) design projects, ensuring milestones and due dates reflect current status.
- Build, administer, and maintain Smartsheet workspaces, including sheet structure, automations, forms, and dashboards used by the design team.
- Navigate ERP systems, including IFS and PD Cloud, to retrieve project, order, and engineering data needed for scheduling and reporting.
- Pull and consolidate data from Smartsheet, the ETO Design Project Tracker, and other departmental sources to support recurring and ad hoc reporting.
- Prepare status reports, KPI summaries, and cycle-time metrics for review by engineering leadership.
- Coordinate with design owners, project engineers, and discipline leads to confirm schedule accuracy and resolve data discrepancies.
- Identify and flag scheduling conflicts, at-risk milestones, or reporting anomalies to the Senior Manager.
- Support continuous improvement of tracking tools and reporting templates as departmental needs evolve.
- Maintain documentation of reporting processes and Smartsheet and ERP administration procedures.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Working proficiency with Smartsheet or a comparable project management platform.
- Ability to navigate ERP systems (e.g., IFS, PD Cloud) to locate and extract project and order data.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple data sources and deadlines simultaneously.
- Adaptability to respond to a fast-moving business environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, flexible approach to working within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting an engineering or manufacturing organization, particularly in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environment.
- Direct experience with IFS or PD Cloud, or a comparable ERP/PLM system, in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint for leadership-facing reporting.
