YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:

  • Assist with designing and testing simple mechanical systems under the guidance of engineers.
  • Support small projects that improve manufacturing processes, customer experience, or product quality.
  • Learn how to use computer-aided design (CAD) tools to review and update basic drawings.
  • Help organize and track product changes using engineering systems.
  • Update documents, such as bills of materials, to reflect design or product adjustments.
  • Observe prototype builds on the assembly floor and provide support by taking notes and asking questions.
  • Learn how engineers calculate things like weight balance, strength, or performance.
  • Participate in team discussions with engineers, suppliers, and other departments to see how problems are solved.
  • Assist in basic vehicle or component testing activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current high school student (junior or senior preferred).
  • Interest in mechanical design, engineering, or related fields.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Standout Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Participation in STEM classes, robotics clubs, shop/tech classes, or other hands-on learning.
  • Interest in mechanical design, construction equipment, or problem-solving.
  • Exposure to CAD software (such as Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD) is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong mechanical curiosity and aptitude.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The following represents general working conditions for this role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances.

  • This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
  • In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
  • Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
  • Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
