Infiltrator Water Technologies (IWT) is a market leader within the onsite wastewater treatment industry, Infiltrator manufactures a variety of revolutionary products and innovative, environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional stone and pipe leachfield and concrete septic wastewater system components. IWT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Drainage Systems (ticker: WMS, NYSE).

 

The majority of our products are produced almost entirely from recycled resins. Infiltrator’s recycling operation is among the country’s top twenty producers / consumers of recycled resins and among only a few of whom consume 100% of that resin in the finished products produced. Infiltrator operates some of largest molding machines and robotics producing the largest plastic molded parts in the world. IWT has always and continues to compete on innovation; we hold over 200 patents.

Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW:  This manager must be a hands-on leader in all aspects, from research, development and implementation of robotics and other automation systems that are implemented to perform a variety of tasks beyond the traditional pick and place automation and to be used across the manufacturing and material transfer operations.This  manager must be a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and must have a proven track record of delivering complex breakthrough projects on time and within budget.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Ensure that all engineering teams operate efficiently and effectively delivering complete, high-quality systems on time and on budget while learning from mistakes and builds on successes in a systematic, measurable way
  • Partner with Product Design and Operations teams to define features and functional requirements and perform functional level testing of solutions to ensure it meets the requirements before it is rolled out.
  • Oversee all aspects of project planning and execution, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring project progress ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately represented and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and personnel needed to execute projects safely and effectively.
  • Manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling project costs to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with outside vendors and contractors to understand the latest technologies.
  • Create documentation related to automation projects, process mapping, functional and technical specifications, design testing plans, and partnering with design team for requirements.
  • Lead pilots, and proof of concepts, in the network while developing the metrics to measure success.
  • Identify and define complex problems and opportunities and makes recommendations for solutions provide ongoing status updates with all levels of the organization.
  • Implement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact the project's timeline or budgets.
  • Allocate resources to stay abreast of the current state of the art across all our engineering disciplines bringing a systematic, process driven approach across engineering discipline.
  • Create/drive a culture of continuous improvement across engineering teams and across the company.
  • Manages and approves regional automation & controls change requests through the appropriate systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering
  • 8 years' experience as Engineering and/or Automation leader in a manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in implementing robotics and automation solutions.
  • Experience in assessing, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting automation solutions.
  • Proven ability to build a team of high performing technical individuals.
  • Ability to identify solutions, and process redesign, develop and implementation.
  • Experience with controls systems Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Fanuc controls and other industrial automation software.
  • Good organizational skills are required to plan, set, and execute on everchanging priorities.
  • Strong focus on value creation and performance management.
  • This position must possess strong leadership, project management skills, and deliver results in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS suite and other MES, MRP and WMS software
