Job Description Summary:
- Provide process support for Cable and Harness manufacturing process including, but not limited to: Programing and supporting Wire processing and Molding Equipment
- The C&H Process Engineer will support all aspects of Harness assembly, including Wire Cut, Strip, Marking, hardware installation, Bundling, Crimping, Soldering, and Process Tooling
- Focus on Molding process improvements to limit rework and improve overall quality and Productivity
- Uses and understands Lean Manufacturing principles
- Develop technical specifications and production requirements for new products or processes including Identify tooling, equipment, and methods of assembly that optimize processing
- Analyze requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility
- Analyze defect data and determine root cause and corrective actions to maximize process yield and reliability
- Maintains, Updates and Writes Standard Operating Procedures for all area equipment and processes
- Performs training of team members per Quality and Standard Operating Procedures and specialized manufacturing techniques
- Monitors manufacturing processes to assure compliance with approved methods and Quality standards
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to follow written instructions and general manufacturing designs/drawings/diagrams
- Computer skills and use of computer programs/software specific to the manufacturing process
- Understand processes and procedures and can recognize non-conformance or problems
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with an emphasis on teamwork, communication and customer satisfaction
- Experience with CAD, Mentor Graphics, Cadence Allegro, and Zuken a plus
- Experience with PLC programming for various equipment and processes including but not limited to Komax, Schleuniger, Grimco, Newbury, etc

Qualifications – Education/Experience:
- Bachelors (BS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a Cable and Harness, or Industrial Molding manufacturing environment, required
- Strong Manufacturing environment experience with low to mid volume and high mix products
- Experience with IPC-WHMA-620 standard, J-STD Soldering standards, SPC techniques and Lean practices is required
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail is required
- Good verbal skills to communicate technical issues with a varied audience is required
- Commitment to work with a hands-on approach in a team atmosphere is required
- Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced Contract Manufacturing environment
- This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Requires limited supervision for routine processes, can implement changes with detailed instruction
- Must be available for overtime work
