Essential Functions*: 

  • Provide Product/Process Engineering support for Centerfire small caliber ammunition manufacturing.
  • Develop, define, and document manufacturing processes, tooling and gaging following DMAIC methodology.
  • Work with cross-functional groups to define and complete testing to support process changes.
  • Actively participate in and lead group activities to support continuous improvements including, but not limited to, design, test, and evaluation of alternative materials, components, and methods to improve efficiency, performance, and reduce costs.
  • Work directly with production and quality department personnel to troubleshoot, find the root cause, and implement corrective actions.

Position Requirements*: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree** in Engineering required, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Metallurgical preferred.
  • Recent or past engineering or co-op and/or intern experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with shooting sports and ammunition preferred.
  • Ability to provide support across all operating shifts, including weekends.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required. 
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
